Chinese has Mandarin or 普通話, but it also has dialects or 方言.For example, in Nanjing the dialect spoken is called 南京話.中國有普通話，也有方言。舉個例子，南京的方言就叫南京話。 

Similarly, in the United States, we have different types of English.同樣地，在美國，也有很多種英語。

In this video, I will read four versions of a single dialogue.在下面這段錄像里，我將用四個版本來讀相同的一個小對話。

The English title is "Waiting for the Bus." In Chinese, 等公交車.題目的英文是Waiting for the Bus，相對應的中文是等公交車 。

The order will be: 1, Relatively Formal English, 2, 普通話, 3, Relatively Colloquial English, and 4, 南京話.順序是這樣的，第一是比較正式的英語，第二是普通話，第三是比較口語化的英語，然后第四是南京話。

1.This weather is too hot. And why hasn't the bus arrived yet?Yeah, I'm sweating all over -- it's gross. Maybe we should just walk there. We could go to Skyways first and get some ice cream.
