Reputation management isn't a new idea. Everyone wants to maintain a positive, clean reputation but with the changing business environment involving more and more communication outlets, especially the web, the way reputation management is handled has been updated to keep pace. Today, if someone wants information about your product or service, a very simple way to collect it is by "Googling" someone using the search engines. Prospective clients, business partners or job seekers are out there, wanting to know more about you, your company, and the service or products you offer. This can harm your business because customers value reputation. What I'm trying to say is that negative things can ruin a business online. But what measure can we do about this? Though you can't stop someone from writing negative things about you, but with reputation management, you can be able to bury those comments and eliminate those other negative feedbacks about you. Thus, all the comments posted about you will all be postive. A reputation management is needed to have a good online reputation.
